Tanning unit will not come on:
-
Check the “EMERGENCY STOP” switch in the control panel. Ensure it is in the “ON” position.
- Check your electrical service panel to verify the circuit breaker is in the “ON” position.
-
Check your internal voltage meter to verify the voltage is no lower than 220.
One Lamp Will Not Come On:
-
Replace the lamp with one that you know works (try using the one next to it). If that lamp works than it’s a faulty lamp.
-
Replace the starter with one that you know works. If that starter works then it’s a faulty starter.
***A faulty starter can cause a good lamp to go out, so both the starter and lamp may need to be changed.
Booth Does Not Come On At Timer or Shuts Off During A Session:
-
If the timer cord has been lengthened (original cord supplied is 60’) to over 90’ in total length. To test this situation, unplug the timer from the end of the cord and plug the timer directly into the junction box on top of the booth. This will bypass the cord between the timer and the booth. If the booth will run flawlessly with the timer plugged directly to the booth, the problem is with the cord.
-
If the timer cord has been cut and spliced back together to allow the cord to be installed through ceilings and walls to get to your front desk, check the connections for proper termination. To test this situation, unplug the timer from the end of the cord and plug the timer directly into the junction box on top of the booth. This will bypass the cord between the timer and the booth. If the booth will run flawlessly with the timer plugged directly to the booth, the problem is with the cord.
-
If a timer system other than the original equipment SunCapsule digital timer is being used, disconnect foreign timer and test with the SunCapsule timer only to determine if the timer system is faulty. If the system operates properly with the SunCapsule timer in place, contact the manufacturer of the foreign timer for assistance.
-
Check your internal voltage meter to verify the voltage is no lower than 220. If your unit is running below 220 volts it does not have enough power to operate properly.
Trouble Shooting Your Timer:
The function and operation of your SunCapsule timer is very basic. Should you somehow enter into the programming of the timer (the digital display begins to flash a series of random numbers) you can reset the timer in two way.
-
Simply press the START/STOP button and the timer should return to normal.
-
Using a paper clip, press the reset button located in a small hole in the lower right side of the timer. This should also return your timer to normal.
Fan Will Not Come On:
-
Your SunCapsule is equipped with a door activated fan shut off switch. This switch will stop the fan from running while the door is open and will allow the fan to resume when the door is closed. Close the door completely and try the system again or manually push the switch in with your finger. If it works by doing this, then the door is not being shut completely.
Whole Fixtures Will Not Light:
-
Check the plugs that plug each fixture together. Keep in mind some panels have two plugs, a black and a gray and some panels only have a black plug.
